  3. Random numbers- Keno, Bingo

Casino games can be highly dependent on the skills of the players. There are few particular casino types which most experts prefer. This led to few casino games being more popular than others leading to higher investments in them. Few exciting casino games became underrated and less popular due to these factors. This article will help you to have a concise idea about the most underrated casino game that is Baccarat.

It is a famous card game played across various casinos. Sources say that this game was originated in the 19th century though there is no concrete proof. It was most famous among the French people during the Napoleonic era. During the initial periods, three players were taken for this game.

Slowly evolution of the game took place and modern Baccarat can be played with up to 12-14 players. Slowly, in the US territories and European territories, Baccarat is gaining good value. According to May 2014 reports, revenue rates for baccarat play have increased to 45.2% than of the 2000s.

How to play Baccarat

  1. First, understand that this game can even be played by having two sides. There are three betting areas: the ‘player’ side, the ‘banker’ side, and the ‘Tie’ side.
  2. Now the dealer will distribute two cards each to the player and the banker. You can take the side of the player or banker or vote for a tie.
  3. The rule is simple: whichever hands, after totalling the face value of the cards, if it comes to be 8 or 9, will win the game. If you stake on the ‘player’ and win, then winnings will be 100% or double. If you bet on the banker and it wins, then you receive 95% of the profit. The Remaining 5% will be taken as commission.
  4. What if the addition of both the cards gives up a value of more than 10? Then only one place or last digit value will be taken as the final score. For example, the two cards the player got are 6 and 7, then total value= 6+7=13, but only 3 will be taken as the final score.
  5. The ‘picture cards’ and ‘tens’ cards are worth zero points. Only cards numbered from 2 to 9 are worth their face value. The ace is worth 1 point. So 9 becomes the highest score or score to win.
  6. Remember that Banker bets have a lower casino advantage. The highest pay-off ratio is for ‘tie’ areas which are 9:1 or 8:1. This bet has the maximum casino advantage of over 14% and is not recommended in the long term.
  7. Natural win- If the points accumulated from both the cards are 8 or 9 for any player’s or banker’s hand, then that person will win. This finishes that game round and is hence known as the natural win.

When can a third card be drawn?

If neither of the hands totals 8 or 9, then the dealer can deal an additional card on one or more than one hand, depending on the total. This is where the fun of Baccarat lies.

Third card rules for the ‘Player’-

  1. If the player’s hand accumulates a total of 8 or 9, then it’s a natural win. This hand will stand.
  2. The player is given the first option before the banker. The player’s hand will also stand on pint if the total comes to 6 or 7.
  3. If the total comes between 0 to 5, then the player can draw a third card. This is not possible if the banker has 8 or 9, in which the banker wins.

Third card rules for the ‘Banker’ (these are for reference and better to note down from the dealer)

  1. When the banker’s total comes between 0-2 then, the bank draws a card unless the player shows 8 or 9
  2. When the banker’s total comes to 3, then the bank can draw a card if the player’s third card is 0-7 of 9
  3. When the banker’s total comes to 4, then the bank draws a card if the player’s third card is 2-7. Bank stands if the player’s third card is 0/1/8/9
  4. When the banker’s total comes to 5, the bank draws if the player’s third card is 4-7. Bank will stand when the third card is 0/1/2/3/8/9
  5. If the banker’s total comes to 6, then a bank drawcard if the player’s third card is 6-7. Bank stands if the player’s third card is 0-9
  6. If the total is 7, then it stands.
  7. If the total comes to 8-9, then it’s natural numbers, and neither hand can draw a third card.

The dealer takes a 5% commission on the banker’s hand’s winning bets only. So money to casinos from Baccarat comes through this method.

You can see that, Baccarat is regarded as one of the most underrated casino games played across the country. The game got famous in Europe but got revised and modified in Asia. One funny part about this game is that casinos can lose millions of dollars in simple bets. For example, a guy can simply bet on $10,000 and win $1 million at the casino’s expense. Also, another essential feature is that there is an advantage of house edge as 1.06% is on the banker’s hand.

Though it looks easy, a high amount of strategy is related to this game. Monitoring the cards which are dealt with eight decks is very difficult. You have only the choice to pick a player, banker, or tie. With the risks involved, it’s always advised not to play Baccarat for the money over your limit. So experts say the best way to get maximum money is to take time in your breaks and extend the time to have more fun.
